DNIKIB × Paloma Wool: The ‘Barça’ Belt
A conceptual belt design merging playful identity with Mediterranean legacy.
Paloma Wool; fashion-forward consumers drawn to artful minimalism and nostalgic eclecticism.
To reinterpret a staple Paloma Wool accessory by infusing it with DNIKIB’s eclectic, youthful tone—merging simplicity with personal expression. Success meant striking harmony between two distinct brand identities while conceptualizing a viable product prototype.
Research included a visual and material study of Paloma Wool’s belts and their brand ethos. I explored sticker culture, 2000s nostalgia, and tile patterns from Barcelona. I initially leaned into playful stickers but later evolved the direction into refined block-print motifs inspired by Mediterranean tilework to incorporate Paloma Wool’s roots in Barcelona. Handmade and printed with handmade stamp.
The ‘Barça’ Belt effectively bridges DNIKIB’s expressive spirit with Paloma Wool’s sculptural minimalism. The final concept reflected a wearable, brand-aligned piece that resonated with both brands aesthetics; accompanied by zine-style mockups and campaign visuals that fully realized the collaborative aesthetic.
